I completed my B.S. and M.S. at the University of Minnesota. The family moved to Tucson, Arizona for 10 years , then to Asheville, NC, and on to Washington, DC, Philadelphia, PA and Seattle, WA. After various careers unrelated to my college work, I became a paralegal and law office manager. After taking a sabbatical the summer of 1996 I discovered how much fun it was not to work and retired.

In 1996 I also took a poetry writing course at the local university and went on to study and write poetry until I now call myself a poet. I've been published in journals and some books with national distribution. I'm active in the poetry community and am currently the coordinator of a local contest and poetry walk where the winning poems are displayed on plaques for a year. I also do college work and have had some of my work published in national arts/crafts magazines. Who knew?

My dearly beloved is an entrepreneur who says his main job is keeping me laughing. We bird watch, play pickleball, volunteer with a personal development group, have a network marketing business (nutritional supplements) and put in more and more time staying healthy.

See you in September,
Sue Erickson
