In the fall of 1957 I went to St. Olaf College where I studied organ and French Horn and loved being in a great band. John and I first lived in South Minneapolis and then moved to Seattle where we both worked for Boeing. After a year we returned to MN and lived in Robbinsdale for five years. Four of those years we were caretakers of the building until we built our house in New Hope and moved in October, 1964. A year later John installed a pipe organ in our home. With a long career in church music, it was good to be able to practice at home. During those years I also taught piano lessons. In 1981 I finished a BA in church music at Metropolitan State University. Since retirement, our hobbies have taken over our time. I inherited a huge "Dolls in Fiction Library" which my mother started over 40 years ago. It is always growing. I also continue genealogy research of family in Sweden, Norway and Denmark and am assembling family notebooks. Lots of travel in Europe and the U.S. stems from this. Our granddaughter, Emma Conway Magnuson, was born on December 28, 2002, and we've happily been her daycare ever since. Her Family lives in nearby Robbinsdale. |
