I served in the United States Army from December, 1961 until November, 1963, getting out a week after JFK was shot.  I was in an artillery unit stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas.

We moved to North Mankato in 1964 where I was employed by National Poly Products for 19 years.  I worked for Cotter & Company, a distribution center for True Value hardware, for 13 years.  Carol worked as a Medical Technician in Mankato.

Retirement gave us the opportunity to travel to Hawaii, Alaska, Denmark, and Sweden.

Carol was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease about 4 years ago.  She is currently in a Memory Care Facility in Mankato.

In February, 2007 I moved to an apartment in North Mankato and am currently in the process of selling our home.
