(Greg and Tammy’s son Ben is in the US Army, Airborne in Iraq) We lived in Columbia Heights when we were married, moved to Fridley, then to our first new house in Blaine, MN in 1962. We moved to Houston, TX in 1977, to Laurel, MD in 1978, to Blue Springs, MO in 1979, to Spring, TX (Houston) in 1981, and finally, back to Blue Springs, MO in 1983 in the same house. Whew! David and I worked for The Pillsbury Company in Minneapolis, MN when we were first married. I worked for Safeway Stores, Totino’s Pizza, a thermal window manufacturer during the moves. I worked for a plastic molding company until it closed. Then I went to business school for 9 months and became a senior buyer/planner for Saint-Gobain Calmar, a manufacturer of plastic trigger sprayers for numerous large business customers. I retired from Saint-Gobain Calmar. David worked for the US Department of Agriculture for 25 years until he retired. David and I retired on the same day, October 31, 2003. Since retirement, we have been to Paradise Island, Bahamas, on a land sea cruise to Alaska/Yukon, on a Trans-Canada train ride across Canada, and we have spent a lot of time baby-sitting. We really enjoyed the traveling, but we enjoy baby-sitting for the two youngest grandchildren. Torina, two and a half, and Jeffrey, one year. |
